A fantastic opportunity for a C++ Systems Engineer to work for a leading software communication-based organisation. You will be exposed to the full software development lifecycle in fast fast-paced agile team within a highly technical business domain.

This Basingstoke-based organisation have an outstanding track record for the reliability and stability of their systems and a reputation for fast, friendly, and accurate support.

Location: Basingstoke – Hybrid/remote options available

Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum for Graduate, up to £55,000 per annum for experienced

Requirements for C++ Systems Engineer – Graduates Considered:

  • Degree educated – if applying at Graduate level this should be in a technical subject with a focus on C++ during your academics
  • Demonstrated proficiency in C++ development, preferably within a Linux framework
  • Applied experience utilizing relational databases, including SQL queries
  • Experience with Linux scripting and upkeep.
  • Adherence to established standards and exemplar practices within the development sphere.
  • Adept utilization of version control systems, notably GIT.
  • Possesses an analytical and problem-solving acumen, complemented by adept organizational to navigate a diverse workload in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, underscored by a commitment to precision and a sense of ownership, accountability, and dedication.
  • Prepared to champion enhancements across the team.
  • Rapid learner, proficient in thriving both autonomously and collaboratively, displaying an eagerness to improve individual technical expertise and tackle novel undertakings.
  • Happy with after-hours deployments and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities for C++ Systems Engineer – Graduates Considered:

  • Create, and rigorously test novel software solutions in alignment with the product roadmap, catering to the evolving demands of key markets.
  • Elevate and enhance the current software codebase and operational methodologies.
  • Engage in technical investigation to diagnose and fix issues, while recognizing the need for enhanced efficiency and operational excellence through coding and scripting.
  • Enhance routine procedures, meticulously track issues, and document modifications to ensure comprehensive audit trails.
  • Aid in the oversight and management of infrastructure within data centers
  • Play a role in shaping project frameworks, guidelines, and procedural documentation.
