Lead DevOps Cloud Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud / DevOps Engineer to join a fast-growing Cloud software company. Moving into a lead role you will have the chance to make visible and valuable contributions to key products and the wider team. This leading company works in a unique area with a focus on cloud technology so this offers a very exciting, varied role for any cloud enthusiast. We are keen to hear from both experienced team leaders and those who are ready to take the next step up.

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid working available, 2 days on-site minimum)

Salary: Negotiable DOE + excellent benefits (Including private health cover and relocation allowance)

Requirements for Lead Cloud Engineer – Azure, AWS:

Experience using Angular – ‘essential’
Experience working with at least one of the following: Azure, AWS, GCP
Any cloud certifications would be beneficial (Google Certified Professional, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
Other technologies that would be beneficial – .NET, Golang, PowerShell, SQL
A passion for coding, web technologies, and deployment features that drive user adoption.
Understanding of the cloud computing industry (AWS / Azure / GCP / O365)
Keen to continuously update professional knowledge of new technologies
Team-player with a friendly, can-do attitude
Systematic and organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads
Ability to present technical issues and solutions to a variety of audiences
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent writing skills
Mentoring/Team Leading experience desirable (or you should be happy to take a step into this role)

Responsibilities for Cloud Lead/Team Leader – Azure, AWS:

Work on a broad range of cloud projects
Working with PowerShell for cloud share cleanup, utilising SQL to execute queries in the database, and analysing the results. Updating Azure Nuke as needed, which is implemented in Golang.
Reviewing all pull requests, which can be in Angular, .NET, or Golang.
Updating APIs, typically focusing on backend work in .NET or Golang, with occasional frontend updates in Angular.
Responsible for your own projects, you have the chance to make visible and valuable contributions to key products
Build and lead the design functions within the product development department
Mentor junior members of the team
