Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – mid-level or senior-level applications welcome

We are excited to be able to offer this Cloud Engineer role working for an industry-leading software company based south of London. This successful organisation are supporting world-renowned clients to improve their infrastructure to make it greener and more efficient, working on bespoke varied, and interesting projects. They are open to training an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who is looking to transition into AWS, as well as experienced AWS professionals.

Location: Crawley, London (3 days in office/2 days remote)

Salary: Negotiable

Requirements for Cloud Infrastructure Engineer:

• Ideally, you will have commercial experience in a similar AWS Infrastructure role, however, strong Infrastructure Engineers looking to transition into AWS are encouraged to apply
• Ideally, you will have strong knowledge of a wide range of AWS services such as S3, RDS, EC2, IAM, Route 53 etc
• Ideally, you will be experienced with Infrastructure as Code i.e. Terraform / CloudFormation
• Degree educated in a technical subject
• Any AWS certification will be beneficial
• You enjoy a variety of work and like the idea of working in a fast-paced consultancy environment where every client is unique
• Good logical reasoning
• Any experience with the following technologies would be beneficial: Containerisation i.e. Docker / Kubernetes
• You must be able to qualify for SC clearance (this usually means you have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years, have no criminal record etc).

Responsibilities for Cloud Infrastructure Engineer:

• Gather and understand client requirements
• Design, build and configure AWS solutions which and robust and scalable
• Utilise automation tools for provisioning
• Use CloudWatch to manage AWS resources ensuring optical cost and performance
• Ensure security best practices inline with industry expectations for data protection
• Resolve technical issues when identified
• Create automation scripts and workflows
• Write documentation of all environments, configurations and processes.
