Workday Finance Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated Workday Finance Support Specialist to join a leading software company. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the finance function aspects of Workday, covering business processes, controls, data, and reporting. Reporting to the Head of Data and Systems, you will be a critical member of the Workday support team.

Salary: £50,000 – £80,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

Location: Remote (must be able to attend London office 1 day a month)

Requirements for Workday Finance Analyst:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and work experience is required
• At least 2 years of experience in a Workday finance system support role is necessary
• Knowledge of finance operations, as well as experience in managing and reporting finance data, is essential
• Understanding of finance business processes, controls, and best practices is a must
• Advanced proficiency in Workday Finance report writing, including Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields, is crucial
• A strong comprehension of Workday security features and controls is required
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills are essential
• The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing both planned and unplanned duties, is critical.
• The ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks independently is a must
• Experience in finance functions is desirable

Responsibilities for Workday Finance Analyst:

• Act as the primary liaison between Information Systems and Finance departments within Workday, including FP&A, Reporting, AP, AR, Procurement, and Expenses
• Offer guidance to Finance process leads to develop their domain knowledge, gather requirements, provide solutions, and perform impact analysis
• Possess a deep understanding of current and upcoming Workday capabilities and serve as a subject matter expert
• Develop and maintain training materials and documentation related to Workday financial areas
• Manage master data values across all relevant areas within Workday
• Configure, test, validate, and deploy changes to Business Processes within Workday
• Support testing efforts for integrations, security, and recurring events such as Workday updates
• Maintain and update Workday system configurations, including cost centres and consolidations
