Senior Data Analyst

A unique opportunity for a Data Analyst to work for a leading publication. Your mission: kickstart a data-driven revolution in line with their business goals. Dive into data to tackle challenges, build and oversee the data platforms, and collaborate across internal teams. We are looking for specific previous experience in setting up an analytics function from scratch, and it would be a real bonus if you have experience analysing subscribers and predicting subscriber turnover.

Location: Central London, UK – hybrid working (4 days initially in office, reduces to 3 after probation period is over)

Salary: Negotiable – depending on the level of experience you bring to the table + excellent benefits

Requirements for Senior Data Analyst:

• Proven track record in a Data Analyst or similar role, where you have set up an Analytics function from scratch
• Experience analysing ‘subscribers’ i.e. to a paid-for service and predicting churn
• Degree educated
• Proficient in data warehouse design, data lakes, ETL processes, and data-related technologies such as SQL, Python, and R
• Experience with AWS deployments, BigQuery, and Google Analytics
• Solid grasp of statistical and machine learning models and their practical applications in business contexts, with a demonstrated ability to create solutions
• Exceptional data visualization skills, enabling effective communication of complex data analyses to non-technical audiences
• Robust analytical and problem-solving aptitude, coupled with the capability to handle extensive and intricate data sets
• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities, facilitating productive interactions with stakeholders throughout the organization
• Proficiency in data security and privacy regulations and best practices, encompassing knowledge of PII and GDPR

Responsibilities for Senior Data Analyst:

• Lead the creation of data-driven solutions aligning with business goals
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to pinpoint business challenges, orchestrate data analyses, and convey findings to non-technical audiences
• Craft and execute statistical and machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics initiatives
• Architect and execute A/B tests to assess the effectiveness of new products and features
• Construct and upkeep dashboards and other reporting tools for monitoring key performance indicators and overall health status
• Identify and assess novel data sources and technologies for enhancing our analytical capabilities
