Our Story

RedTech Recruitment was founded in 2019 by Rebecca Mister and Robert Bull after spending a combined 25 years in the Cambridge tech recruitment market. During this time, Rebecca specialised in early careers within the technology sector, developing a deep understanding of how to connect highly academic talent with innovative companies.

With this insight, Rebecca and Rob set out to build a specialist recruitment agency focused on helping exceptional people coming out of academia move into industry roles in science and technology.

Based in Cambridge, also known as Silicon Fen, a city renowned for its world-class universities and highly academic talent pool, RedTech supports both candidates and companies across the UK and USA. Over the years we have built an extensive network while maintaining a reputation for honest, ethical and knowledgeable recruitment.

We are widely regarded as the go-to agency for STEM graduates through to post-doctoral researchers entering industry. As our client relationships and candidate networks continued to grow, so too did demand for support beyond early careers.

In early 2023 we launched our Experienced Hires division, allowing us to support technology companies with hiring professionals at every stage of their career. Today, RedTech partners with organisations ranging from fast-growing start-ups to established global businesses, placing both emerging talent and experienced specialists across the technology sector.

Rebecca Mister

Co-Founder / Director

Rebecca started in recruitment when fax machines were still the main source to submit terms and timesheets! She is hugely passionate about encouraging diversity within tech and is proud of championing many women to pursue careers in the industry. She volunteers as a school governor leading Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at her local primary school. Outside work she loves travelling with her husband and two children, whether it is a weekend city break or a cruise.

Robert Bull
Robert Bull
Co-Founder / Director

Robert very nearly became a lawyer but got wooed by the recruitment world and has not managed to escape since. Bringing 17 years of technical recruitment experience to the table, Robert is far from your stereotypical recruitment consultant. His friendly, ethical approach is one of the reasons so many clients love working with him. He can usually be found enjoying finance or business books, playing computer games, or making use of his National Trust membership with his wife and daughter.

Annie joined RedTech in March 2022 as a Trainee Consultant and was quickly promoted twice to Senior Recruitment Consultant. Our resident foodie with a bucket-list of restaurants to visit, she also spends her evenings running all her businesses on Grand Theft Auto!

Megs supports the RedTech business working hard behind the scenes keeping track of all jobs, candidates, coordinating interviews and advertising all RedTech roles. Outside work she loves watching Pointless, reading autobiographies and walking her two Jack Russells.

Cornell supports RedTech in growing and nurturing our client base. With over 25 years of experience in recruitment, she brings a wealth of industry knowledge and a natural talent for building strong relationships. Cornell plays a key role in spreading the word about the RedTech recruitment service. Outside of work, despite her bubbly personality, she has a soft spot for thrillers and darker TV dramas.

Lauren looks after all of the RedTech socials, ensuring a constant stream of helpful support and advice going out to our 40k+ followers. She volunteers for Diabetes UK, loves taking her dog for walks and is a fan of concerts. She has a passion for writing in her spare time.

Business Support Admin

Debbie brings 30 years of administration experience and supports everything in the back office. She seemingly spends her life chasing us for receipts and we would be lost without her. Debbie is a huge fan of yoga and spends most of her time convincing the rest of the team to join her at a class.
